Little Jack, who was only three when diagnosed with DIPG, <\/i>wanted more than anything\"100_2948.1\"<\/a> to skip, but it was very difficult for <\/i>him. DIPG <\/i>affects coordination and causes muscle weakness. We know that Jack will be smiling down upon all the kids as they <\/i>skip!\u00a0 <\/i>The children will be skipping for all DIPGs <\/i>who have <\/i>all passed on <\/i>to <\/i>the next <\/i>world, that they are not forgotten; that those currently fighting are so honored. \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

This is an opportunity for children of all ages to help support DIPG research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and gives community members the opportunity to sponsor a child to skip, to help the child achieve his or her fundraising goal. \u00a0 The form for kids is available here,<\/a> and also may be downloaded at online registration, which is only $10 at www.santacolorita.com<\/a>.\u00a0 Skippers may also register for the Fun Run.<\/p>\n

Hearts for Jack<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n

This is a sewing craft that requires adult foresight, study, and supervision for younger children, and can be done as a community service project for elementary, middle, and high-school kids.\u00a0 It is also a great project for women\u2019s clubs or other civic associations \"\"<\/a>with members who love to craft or sew.\u00a0 The hearts will be gifted to skippers, and will be available for purchase at the event on Valentine\u2019s Day. \u00a0They will also be included in gifts for DIPG diagnosed children at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles through “Project Angel Box”<\/a>. \u00a0 A descriptive letter to community groups is available here: \u00a0 Letter to Communities\/Schools <\/a><\/p>\n

SCV Chamber of Commerce<\/strong><\/h4>\n
