Why Skip?
Little Jack, who was only three when diagnosed with DIPG, wanted more than anything to skip, but it was very difficult for him. DIPG affects coordination and causes muscle weakness. We know that Jack will be smiling down upon all the kids as they skip! The children will be skipping for all DIPGs who have all passed on to the next world, that they are not forgotten; that those currently fighting are so honored.

Hearts for Jack
This is a sewing craft that requires adult foresight, study, and supervision for younger children, and can be done as a community service project for elementary, middle, and high-school kids. It is also a great project for women’s clubs or other civic associations with members who love to craft or sew. The hearts will be gifted to skippers, and will be available for purchase at the event on Valentine’s Day. They will also be included in gifts for DIPG diagnosed children at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles through “Project Angel Box”. A descriptive letter to community groups is available here: Letter to Communities/Schools

SCV Chamber of Commerce
We remain obliged to and humbled by the generosity of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce for including us in their Planning Committee for the 2nd Annual Santa Colorita 5k Fun Run at Castaic Recreation Center this Valentine’s Day. We have been looking for an opportunity to somehow create a “1K Skip for Jack!” as part of a larger event, without the resources to do so on our own. Please visit www.santacolorita.com to learn more about this amazing event expecting 5000 runners, and its three beneficiaries, including Jack’s Angels. The SCV Chamber of Commerce has been faithfully serving the greater Santa Clarita Valley community since 1923.
